Centralized Testing consists of a Teaching Evaluation and a Practical Exam. Each of these components offers an inside look into the student's teaching and practical skills.
BASI Students are eligible to sign up for Centralized Testing following completion of all course requirements:

Score of 70% or higher on the online written exams

Completion or near completion of observation, self practice, and student teaching hours

BASI® Pilates Comprehensive Teacher
Training Program
The upcoming BASI® Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Training program will begin on April 10, 2025, and conclude on May 25, 2025. This program consists of 12 modules, divided into three parts, covering both theoretical and practical components. Program Overview
Throughout the 12 modules, participants will receive in-depth theoretical lessons on anatomy and related topics, along with hands-on training in Mat & Equipment repertoires. These essential skills will equip future instructors to teach according to BASI®’s high-quality standards.
Certification Requirements
To obtain the BASI® Certification, participants must:
1. Complete all 12 modules in full.
2. Meet the required hours for Observation, Self-Practice, and Teaching Experience.
3. Pass both the Teaching Exam and Self-Demonstration Exam.
4. Submit a Student Paper as part of the final requirement.

BASI® Mentor Program
This 3-day course is the first phase of the [Legacy Program], Rael’s voyage of discovery to the extreme edges of the Pilates Method with the most accomplished of his colleagues and students. The Mentor Program is for seasoned professionals who want to hone their teaching skills and study at the highest levels of the work. During this very personal experience, Rael shares the skills and lessons he has learned over four decades at the peak of the profession.
Tuition includes:
Prerequisites: Completion of BASI or another recognized comprehensive teacher training program and minimum of 3 years teaching experience (2 years for BASI qualified teachers).
This program is approved for 18 NPCP CEC'S.

BASI® Pilates for Men: Accommodating for Men in a Pilates Session
The Pilates Method offers a unique and invaluable mode of training for men. Pilates is often thought not to be suited for men. The reasons for this are many and varied and include: Pilates being practiced predominantly by women, the way Pilates has been portrayed by the media, the fact that Pilates is very popular among dancers (to the point that Pilates is often perceived as ONLY for dancers) and most Pilates teachers are female. Yet, there are few fitness regimens that are as well suited for men as Pilates.

BASI® Athletic Longevity: living your best athletic life
One of the many goals of any athlete or hobbyist is to have a long injury free career. In the professional world of sport and in life there are certain movement benchmarks that need to be met in order for us to continuously perform at the highest level. In this workshop we will explore some of the benchmarks and tests available that can be performed safely in a studio environment. Pilates for Scoliosis will provide detailed insight into the symptoms, onset, causes and treatment protocol for scoliosis. Participants will learn how to modify and adapt exercises for differing curve patterns as well as exploring repertoire on the mat and Pilates apparatus, specifically designed to optimize movement and conditioning for each unique scoliotic spine.
